Is The Fucking Operating System vista really that bad? I am looking at purchasing a Toshiba laptop, AMD Turion 64 X2 1.9GHz with 2 Gb RAM, comes with Vista Home Premium. Good price. Have use XP Home and Pro for years, never had major problems but it isn't really an easy option any more.

The only thing I've read is that Microsoft can disable drivers remotely to protect their new "Protected Video Path". However, if you have a hardware firewall and block Microsoft sites in it, how could they delete or disable anything? Does Vista require a constant Internet signal to work (ala Steam)?
